Join us IN REAL LIFE as we GO LARGE, using willow modelling techniques to make a huge white elephant puppet and pesky mice to parade as the grand finale of our Summer School Quixotic Circus.

Learn willow modelling techniques for huge puppet makes, explore large scale group puppetry techniques to bring her to life and make your own individual elephant-bothering mouse to take home too.

This technique allows you to easily translate 2D drawings into fabulous 3D. Willow is a fantastic and versatile material for making huge structures that are very light… perfect for processional puppets! Together we will explore designing large structures, making effective moving parts and operating them to bring life and optioans for finishes, colour and ‘skin’.

On Sunday we’ll work together to teach our Elephant some circus tricks, and then take our show on the road (to the park).

NB this course will take place outside or semi-outside, weather dependent, so dress warmly and bring a picnic!
