5 Oct – 23 Nov 2017 / 8 x Thursday Evenings / £199 (£179 conc) / CREATING
This course is mostly concerned with discovering and developing your unique practice and exploring and expressing your visual language.
Traditional puppetry skills won’t be taught on this course where rule-breaking, genre challenging creative freedom will be encouraged.
Puppetry may be central to your practice, or you may be interested in puppetry in it’s loosest sense – If your work exists on the cutting edge of puppetry / performance / sculpture this course offers a safe encouraging and constructively critical space and time to push your creative boundaries.
Treat yourself to 7 weeks of serious fun, shake up your practice, kick it up and move it on, there will be an opportunity to present your findings at an exhibition / show-and-tell to invited guests at the end of the course.
This course will provide a safe environment to try new ideas, take creative risks and open up your creative practice, you will be nurtured and encouraged, gently challenged, and given space and time to try new things out.
Led by acclaimed puppetry artist, coach and RCA Graduate, Isobel Smith
