‘Doing this course has had a positive impact on every aspect of my theatre making‘
‘The content was so well planned and delivered and the exercises interesting and relevant. I really felt I developed over the duration’
A supportive and inspiring course for all those looking to create new work for puppetry through writing in any form.
Weekly sessions will combine playful exercises, case studies of plays and puppetry and surgeries on your own evolving writing (be that play text, fragments of character dialogue, dramatic scenarios, songs or anything else!).
The course will explore the unique possibilities and challenges that puppetry brings to writing for the stage. It will be tailored to participants’ individual needs, be that getting started on a new piece of work or developing something you’ve already begun or that idea that’s been sitting on your shelf for months.
This short course will equip you with all the skills you need to take your writing to the next level, build confidence in your own voice and you will see your writing grow.
